Spiaggia della Tonnara

Tonnara is a beach in the municipality of Palmi, on the Tyrrhenian side of Reggio Calabria province.

Its name preserves the memory of tuna-fishing activities.

The best-known visual landmark is Scoglio dell’Ulivo, the Olive Tree Rock.

This rock makes the scenery recognisable and distinguishes it from nearby Marinella.

The coast belongs to the Costa Viola area.

Photograph the rock from a permitted place on shore rather than venturing onto exposed rocks.
